Movie Story: Jemeji - Season 1 - Episode 124

Matron, Senami and the villagers are in a bush by the river, looking at the corpse of the woman.
Matron says her baby wouldn't have survived.
Senami looks and sees the umbilical cord not too far from where the corpse is lying.
She points it out and She tells the people to search for a baby that should be somewhere nearby.
The people disperse.

Matron tells Senami that the dead woman didn't cut the umbilical cord herself and it appears that it was forcefully removed from her body before separating it from the baby.

Oviyon, Jonah and the boys are waiting in the bush near Fonton's house.
They watch the goons who are in front of the house.
Jonah asks why they don't just call the police.
Oviyon says the police will probably just send 2 or 3 of their men that will get killed by the goons.
He complains that the acting Chief is not even interested.
Jonah says if the boys can kill the police then what would they do to them?
Oviyon points at Samuel who is with the goons and says he will let them know when the others leave as he's on guard duty.
Jonah asks if it won't blow his cover.
Oviyon tells him to calm down as they will act like they ambushed him.
Jonah asks about Petunia.
Oviyon says they will take care of her

Half-a-day comes out of the house and tells the goons that they should all leave.
Samuel says he's on duty.
Half-a-day gives him a warning look then he shuts the door to the house and puts a padlock on it.
Samuel asks about Petunia.
Half-a-day asks how it's his business.
All the goons follow him, including Samuel.

Jonah asks what's going on.
Oviyon and his boys run to Fonton's house
They see the padlock.
Jonah wants to pick the lock but Oviyon bursts the door open.

They meet Petunia lying on the ground in the living room.
Jonah asks if they should take her to the hospital.
Oviyon says he doesn't think they have time for that.

He goes into the room and sees Fonton passed out as well.
They untie the rope on his hands.
Fonton groans.

The search party returns and the tell Senami they didn't see any baby.

Matron gets a phone call from Oviyon.
He begs her to come to Fonton's house as Petunia has been attacked.
Matron says she will come with Senami.
Oviyon says no but she can come with Dr. Jide.
Matron asks what's going on and if it has anything to do with what happened at the waterside.
Oviyon asks what happened.
Matron tells him that a pregnant woman was found dead there and her baby is missing.
Oviyon says he has no idea about that but she should come and attend to Petunia.

Oviyon tells his boys to leave and he will catch up with them.
Jonah asks what matron said.
Oviyon tells him what she said about the dead pregnant woman with missing baby.
Jonah asks what's going on.

Senami returns to Kingsley's place.
He says she like exhausted.
She says the villagers found a dead pregnant woman and they couldn't find the baby.
He says maybe somebody picked it up.
She tells him that it was the same pregnant woman she saw at his place with him and Saul.
He pretends to be shocked.
She asks how he knows her.
He says he doesn't.
She says she thought he said he was helping her.
He asks if she wants to know anything.
She says she was wondering if he knew her family or anyone they can contact.
He says he just paid for her antenatal care in Wesere and doesn't know anyone.
She asks if he knows her name.
He says she called herself Osato Solomon.

She gets a call from Oviyon.
She asks if he's okay.
He asks her to come alone.
She says she's on her way.

Kingsley tells her he can't let her go alone.
He picks up his car keys.

Petunia regains consciousness as Matron is mopping her face with a wet cloth.
There is an open wound on her cheek.
Matron asks who did it to her as she knows Fonton couldn't have done it.
Petunia is barely able to stand up as she is in a lot of pain.
She asks for Fonton.
Matron tells her to relax.
Petunia goes into the room and starts searching for her phone, asking for Fonton repeatedly.

Senami meets Oviyon in front of Neza's house.
Oviyon asks why she didn't come alone.
She says Kingsley had to bring her as Oviyon said it was an emergency.
Oviyon looks directly at her and says Kingsley has to wait in the car.
Kingsley asks Oviyon if he realises he's standing right there.
Oviyon ignores him and tells Senami that he has to wait in the car.
Senami looks at Kingsley.
Kingsley goes to the car.

Oviyon introduces Jonah to Senami.
Jonah says he needs her help with his father.

Fonton is lying on the floor inside Neza's hut.
Senami examines him.

Senami comes back outside and tells Oviyon that they have the go to the clinic.
Oviyon says no.
She says she can't pretend not to see the boys hiding in the shadows.
She asks what's going on.
Oviyon says all he can tell her is that Fonton was kidnapped and drugged.
Senami says it seems it's another eventful night in Aji.
Oviyon says matron told him about the dead pregnant woman.
Senami says she doesn't know what to say.
She looks dizzy.
He asks if there is something wrong.
She says she's fine.
She tells Jonah to come by the clinic in the morning to get drugs for his father.
He thanks her.
Oviyon also thanks her.
She says it's her job.
She leaves.

Jonah looks at Oviyon then looks at Senami as she leaves.

Obi and Chief's family are having breakfast.
He says he had a dream that a bird without eyes was chasing him and he almost peed on himself.
He laughs alone at his joke.
Sewedo asks if he can have the number for the doctor.
Obi almost chokes on his food.
He asks if Sewedo is referring to Senami.
Sewedo says he wants the number to his father's doctor.
Obi says he lost the number when his phone fell in water so he changed it and lost all his contacts.
Nowheyon and her mother stand up and leave.
Sewedo says Obi got a new phone which means he's already spending their father's money.
Obi asks what he means by that and if that's what they've been saying.
Sewedo makes a phone call to 'Baby' and asks if they can see later.

Sewedo meets up with Glory.
She is wearing her signature heavy makeup.
She tells him that she has been waiting.
He apologises and asks if she knows his father's doctor.
She says everyone in the village knows Dr. Jide
He asks if she has his number.
She gives it to him.
He asks if she's coming for his father's burial.
She says everyone will be there.
He tells her to wear something nice even though he can always spot her in the midst of a thousand people.
She blushes.

Folake and Obi meet in the school.
She tells him that Sewedo can meet with Dr. Jide if he wants to.
Obi says he doesn't like it.
She asks if he thinks Jide will try something funny.
He says he doesn't know.

She calls Jide and puts the call on speaker..
Obi tells him that Sewedo has been looking for him.
Jide tells them to bring him his way.
Obi asks if he knows why.
Jide says it's perfectly normal for a son to want to meet with his late father's doctor but Obi wouldn't know that because he's not a real son.
Obi says he doesn't know what game he's playing but he needs to stick to the story.
Jide says he hasn't started playing games yet but if Obi and that prostitute don't pay him his money, they will get to realise how beautiful his singing voice is as he will sing so loudly that the whole person Aji will hear.
Folake warns him not to try anything.
She hangs up.

Obi says if the entire thing blows over, Jide will put it on his head.
She asks what he's suggesting.
He suggests they give him the money.
Folake says no way as Obi worked for it.
He suggests they give him a part of it.
She says she will keep Obi's share of 2 million and give Jide the rest.

The villagers are gathered in the market square, talking about Baba Francis that has left Aji.
A woman says with the way things have been happening in Aji, people don't come out anymore and the market is practically empty.
Another woman lists the names of all the deceased.
A man says he sleeps with a cutlass by his side as the boys that are supposed to protect them don't do anything.
Iya Oviyon says the useless boys.
She asks when last anyone saw Fonton; he's hiding out of shame.
She tells them that all the things happening in Aji have been within them and have nothing to do with Wesere.
They ask if she knows anything.
She says she doesn't know anything but she thinks someone is involved.
One woman says what hurts her the most is the death of the pregnant woman.
Iya Minasu suggests they see Mausi about that.
Glory asks where Mausi was when everyone was dying.
She suggests they all visit the palace.

Half-a-day and his boys are on a farm.
Petunia comes with big sunglasses that still don't cover her bruise.
She asks Half-a-day for Fonton.
He asks if she's insane.
She says she can't find him.
He asks if she released him.
She says she was thinking Half-a-day and his boys took him.
Half-a-day lands her a vicious slap that sends the sunglasses flying.
She grabs him and tells him to kill her but he should know their partnership has ended.
She tells him to bring out her blood.

The palace attendants are looking at photos on a phone.
Obi returns and they greet him.
They tell him everyone is home except Sewedo.

He enters the palace and sees a goat head on the table with the eyes plucked out.
He screams.

Nowheyon and her mother rush into the room to see.
