“The Sleep Over”

At Angella Benson’s House

Authoress’s POV
“Wow! This Human Hair Wig looks good!”
Cynthia exclaimed when they all stepped
into Angella’s room. She rushed to the
Mannequin which was placed on the
dressing table.

“Is this for you..Or mommy?” She asked
“its mine” Angella replied
“Well..can you afford a hair like this..?” She
asked without looking away from the wavy
brown hair.

Angella exchanged glances with her girls.
She didn’t like the way Cynthia looked
down on her.

“I can afford anything” she snapped at
Cynthia
Elizabeth nugded Caroline’s side so she
would control her cousin.

She was too touchy, accessing everything
on the dressing table.
“I have this perfume and hair spray” she
said
Cynthia talked about all the products on
the table.

“This is the old model of this..”
“There’s a lastest version of that..”
“..And this is fake and I have the original”
Angella frowned at her.

And Cynthia was already getting on
Angella’s nerves.

“Cynthia..can you stay away from those
things.. Please” Caroline cautioned
“Why?” She asked
“Angella doesn’t like people touching her
stuffs anyhow” Caroline explained
Cynthia looked at them
“Is that true?” She asked
Moving away from the table.
“Yes I don’t like people touching and
running through my things” Angella
snatched the eye pencil from her.
“Most especially..My eye pencils”
“Its fake” Cynthia mocked
“Cynthia!” Caroline growled
“What?! I’m only trying to let her know
that some of these things are Fake. I can
introduce some better products. And I’m
trying to be friendly too” she said
“Do it in a nice way” Lizzy Said
“In case you don’t know..I buy my makeup
from House Of Tara. So they are not fake”
Angella said
Cynthia Whistled
“Please don’t touch anything”
Angella cautioned before heading to the
bathroom.

“What’s wrong with you?”
Caroline questioned
“I didn’t do anything”
“Don’t make me regret bringing you to my
friend’s place” Caroline said with raised
tone.

“Your friend?” Cynthia snorted
“She’s too proud and bossy. What’s with
the rule, Don’t Touch Anything” She
mimicked Angella
“Don’t talk bad about Angella” Lizzy
cautioned
“And what are you girls to her? Handbags?.
You see her as a demi god” Cynthia laughed
“There’s nothing special about Angella
Benson with the way you are always
talking about her. My house is bigger and
better off than this whole d--n building”
Cynthia said with serious face.

The bathroom door opened and they all
turned to see Angry Angella in white towel.
She heard everything Cynthia had said to
her girls.

“Caroline,thanks for bringing your cousin
over to ruin the rest of my day”
“I’m..So sorry Angella” Caro pleaded
“I want you out of my house this
minutes..” She said
“Angella..We tried to -”
Cynthia Whistled again
“Why are you begging her Caroline..Stop
acting like a fool!” Cynthia said
“Shut up Cynthia!” Caro screamed at her
She stood up and carried her hold all bag.
“Let’s leave this stinging house”
Cynthia mumbled
Fury crashed over Angella
“Mommy!” She screamed
And her mom came running in fear.
“What’s wrong?” she asked
“She said our house stings. And she said
bad things..really bad things about me.
Mom, I want them out of our home right
now!” She cried

“I think..You all need to leave..” She said
“I’m so sorry” Caroline apologized.
“I don’t want to see you again!” She
pushed them out of her room. And she
stormed into the bathroom
She was mad at Cynthia for saying bad
things about her. And she was extremely
annoyed at her girls because they had sat
and listened to Cynthia’s bad talks. Angella
had really hoped she and Cynthia would
get along well but she was mistaken! She
realized that Cynthia wasn’t nice at all. She
was even mean and bad than she had
thought. Cynthia was one crazy girl!

After hearing Cynthia’s words, Angella
decided that she would never be friends
with someone like Cynthia. Girls like her
aren’t easy to handle or rule over.

She heard a soft knock on the bathroom
door

“Angella, it’s late, let them stay till
tomorrow. I mean, you girls can talk things
out. I’m sure they didn’t mean to hurt you”
Her mom pleaded

“No! Throw them out!” She shouted
And her mom went back to the girls
outside.

“I’m so sorry, I tried talking to her..but she
want you to leave” Mrs Benson said
Lizzy eyed Cynthia angrily
“You see what you’ve caused now. Angella
doesn’t want to see us” she said
“Lizzy are you alright?” Cynthia countered
“Cynthia please just be quiet. Mommy, we’ll
leave but please Ma apologize to Angella on
our behalf” Caro said soberly
“No problem Caroline” she replied
“Usman! Usman!” She called
“Yes Madam”
A man came over
“please drive them home” she instructed
“Oh thank you Ma”
Caroline thanked Mrs Benson on their
knees. And Cynthia was mad at Caroline for
acting like Angella’s slave.
“You’re a big fool cousin” Cynthia said
when they both stepped into Caroline’s
room.

“You’re a fool too Cynthia! See don’t start
again. You know that you’ve already ruined
my friendship with Angella” Caroline said
They had argued all the way home. Lizzy
and Caroline blamed her for everything.
And she tried to make them understand
that Angella was using them.
“Is that why you want to cry? Abeg who
your friendship Epp?” Cynthia laughed
mockingly
“I don’t blame you” Caroline hissed
“Hmm..See my cousin acting like slave. I’m
sure you are richer than Angella Benson but
you can’t act like a rich girl because she has
blindfolded you with her stupid money”
Cynthia said
“Angella Benson is Super Rich! You don’t
know Mr Benson?!”
“Who says am not a rich kid too?! Abeg I
don’t know Mr Benson!”
“Do you know Bens Oil?”
“Yes..So what?”
“Angella’s dad owns Bens oil” Caroline
answered

“Only Bens oil? See you! So it is oil money
that Angella is using to pack your stew”
Caroline clapped
“Ewo! Cousin you are too dull! Just look at
the way you were acting. And see how she
kicked you out of her house.. And you call
that one your bestfriend. Bestfriend my
Foot!” She spat
“Cynthia you caused everything!”
“I intentionally said those things to her so
that she won’t thnk she’s the only one that
can buy or own good things. Look at the
way her dressing mirror is looking cheap.
It’s not even classy and you’re telling me
her dad owns Bens Oil. Better be wise like
me Caroline. Don’t be a follower! You can
be a Boss lady like Angella Benson! You can
have girls
running your errands” Cynthia tried to
poision Caroline’s Mind. She wanted to
destroy her friendship.

Deep down in Cynthia’s mind she was
jealous of Angella. She wished that she was
living Angella’s life. And jealousy had
tipped her off the edge when Angella
snapped at her. And she didn’t like the idea
of Caroline acting like a Slave girl. Visiting
her cousin for the first time in 7 Years. She
had expected Caroline to be the Boss lady
in her school just like she was ruling in
Linda Girls College.

“Omo! You fall my hand Caroline”
“You are not a student of EHS. Angella
Benson is the Queen” Caro said
Cynthia laughed

“You don’t know a Queen can serve her
Maids” Cynthia Said
“That’s impossible” Caro said with a frown
“Anything is possible Cousin! If I can get rid
of the students in my school in a twinkle of
an eye..So what’s impossible for me?”
Cynthia said with a shrug
“Are you God?” Caro said with raised
eyebrow
Cynthia hissed

“Stop acting like a dummy! did I say
anything like me being a God?”
“But you said nothing is impossible for
you”

“Yes.. I mean things like dealing and
getting rid of people. Try to understand.
Ah! No wonder Angella is treating you like
her dog”

“I’m not Angella’s dog!” Caroline countered
Cynthia shook her head
“That’s how she sees you”
“I know throwing us out in the night is bad
but..”

“No but! What is bad is bad! There’s no
other name for bad” Cynthia interrupted
“I can never kick my friends out of my
home. They are my friends! So I should
treat them like my sisters!” She said
Caroline thought deeply

She didn’t like the way Angella had kicked
them out in the presence of her cousin. She
had portrayed Angella as the nicest girl in
the world but she ended up showing her
true color.

“Talking of being Rich, Angella’s riches
can’t stand near Katherine Adebowale’s
Wealth. All round Money” Cynthia said
Caroline stunned out of thought
“Did you just say Katherine Adebowale?”
She asked

“Yes, Katherine Adebowale, her father is a
multi billionaire businessman. Her mom is
rich and her brother are super wealthy too!
