My kings daughter - Season 1 - Episode 28

Dave knew his aunt as a very nosy person. Even if you were threatened at gunpoint to keep a secret, she would still wanna know it. In this case it was justiable, because a struggling young man like dave cannot ever hope to afford the MACHINE that he just came with. He knew that if he explained to her now, he’ll have to go through the process again later with the rest of the family. Moreover, he needed rest, so he said:
“Aunt, its kind of like a long story, but i promise when the family is together, i’ll explain everything.”.

“okay, if you say so. You must be tired. Go to your room now and rest. Dinner will be served later” she replied
“Thanks, aunty.” Dave said and stood up, then walked to the guest room, which was always used by him whenever he came visiting.

He entered the room and he was in Awe as to the new beauty the room now had. The bed sheet, the rug, the lights and everything that concerns the room now has a new sparkle. The painting was also done marvellously well. He jumped on the bed and he felt at ease immediately. He then thought that it would be wise to call the palace to inform them that he arrived safely.

He put a call through to the king, and it was picked on the second dial.
“hello dave, how are you?” the king asked immediately he picked the call.
“i am doing great, your majesty. I called to inform you that i arrived the city safely. I am in my uncle’s house now.” dave replied.
“oh, okay. That’s good of you. Remember that if you need anything, just let me know, alright?” he asked.

“But your highness, i have everything i need. You have provided more than enough for me and i won’t ever be able to thank you the way you deserve.” Dave replied.
“Oh, come off it. I didn’t do anything and don’t think that way because i haven’t started. So just let me know when you are in need of anything.” the king said.

They discussed some more, then they bade each other farewell.

TIME CHECK-6:45pm
Sounds were heard in the sitting room of the children and their father talking to their mum. Then Dave heard his aunt say “guess what kids? Uncle Dave is inside right now”, followed by happy noise from the kids. They wanted to go meet him immediately, but the mum told them to go and change first.

Dave promptly came out and met his uncle at his room door obviously about to enter his room.

“good evening sir” dave greeted immediately.

“Hello dave. You have grown a lot. If only my brother was here to see this” his uncle said and then extended his hand which dave held warmly in a handshake. His uncle still looked like a young man in his late twenties but in reality he is in his early fourties. He now had a pot belly and an almost bald head(akpan lolzz). Just then the kids entered and hugged dave calling ‘uncle’ ‘uncle’ Dave smiled and carried Esther, who was the younger one. His uncle smiled and mouthed “talk to you later”.

He dropped Esther and shook Mario’s hands like as if he was a man. After talking and playing with them for sometime, their mum informed them that it’s time to have their dinner. During dinner, Dave texted Ovie and Abies, letting them know he has arrived, then added “missing you” to that of ovie.
During dinner, the following discussion ensued “so, Dave are you going to explain how you got the car?” his aunt asked.
“what?! That car outside is yours? Or you borrowed it?” his uncle asked.

“no sir, its mine.” dave started and then explained everything from the king almost dying, to him(dave) setting out into to the evil forest, to living in the palace, to reward……
After eating, dave went to his room, had a shower, then slept off.
