Dave was shocked to see a visibly angry, and boiling Abies(if u talk say she da vex na understatement)

As ovie saw her(Abies) she returned to her cooking and said
“but Dave hasn’t proposed to me yet na”.

-KPANGAM, BLOOD OF BIG GOAT-
Dave didn’t know if she meant to be funny, but Abies was already burning with fury and ovie was(unknowingly) pouring petrol on Abies(despite say 1 ltr of fuel na 200.. Lolzz)
Abies just surprisingly left without another word, thereby making Dave heave a sigh of relief.

-KOROOO, KOOORO.-
Oboy, Dave just remembered the reason why he came here, FOOD!

“Ovie oo, ehm, is there anything ready yet? Cause i’m famished” Dave asked.
“Are you blind, can’t you see that it’s still on the fire?” Ovie screamed.

Dave was dumbstruck. What warranted her screaming? He wanted to talk but decided to remain calm.

The next thing that happened caught him off guard, Ovie enveloped him in a warm, tight embrace.

“Test number one passed. My mum told me that all men are not the same and there are some that are real gentlemen, not just for pretense. You have always being behaving gentle, so i just wanted to confirm if you are pretending or not” Ovie said.

-PHEW, i been think say na because of that thing wey happen between us oo(almost kiss)-
“So, what made you think i was pretending?”
Dave asked.

“just forget bout that. Now you said you are hungry, right? (Dave nodded like a lizard) okay, just go to that pot over there. A little jollof is left over, then bring your plate let me give you a piece of meat, while you wait for the main dish”. Ovie replied.
Dave did as instructed and afterwards he received the main dish,
(its none of your business what it is, but it was delicious, kudos to the chef. Wait, is a female that cooks also known as a chef? Or is it only males? Sorry for digressing.)

After eating, Dave did his new daily routine of brushing his teeth before sleeping(You gat to understand now. Gotten more female friends now, so got to maintain fresh breath).

Afterwards, he went to the king and then told him that he would like to visit his paternal uncle very soon.

Upon returning to his room he found Abies sitting on his bed, looking worried. Going over to her he said
“what’s up Aby? You don’t look too good”.

“it’s nothing. I just needed someone’s company, so i decided that you are the best candidate” she replied.

After talking about nothing in particular for a while, and the time slowly approaching 9pm, Abies drew close to Dave and looked at him for some seconds, in total silence.

Dave broke the silence and said
“is there something bothering you? I can see it written all over you. You know you can talk to me right?”

“how long would you spend in the city with your uncle?” she asked, deliberately ignoring his question.

Dave: “am i a stranger? Why can’t you talk to me?”

Abies: “okay, do you have any feelings for my sister?”
