Me: Relax mum, it’s Dorcas and I, we are discussing something

Mom: Discussion this early morning;
What could that be?

Dor:stay out of this mummy, everything is ok

Mom:Hmmm if you insist, look at your face like that of an Angel;You can spare that your discussion for another time, this is half past six already,we should be in the farm by now, remember I don’t want you to go to school late

We walked out gently, due to difficulties, we were living in just two rooms which had only one entrance at the front I.e my mum’s room leads to mine

Mom:Shall we?

Me:Yes mom

Our farm isn’t that far from our home, it takes just 20-25 minutes.

While we were on our way, I asked

Me:mum is your princess not going to school?

Mom:Oh that reminds me, I forgot to give her money, she might be hungry

Me: ok mum let me rush back home then

Mom:Take this 50 naira, hurry please mind you this is not a medium for you to play about

Me: Why are you saying this mum, am a grown up man already. What will I play for
I ran as my leg could carry me,
Under a jiffy I was at the front of our house; did I just said our house?

Then I must be stupid.

We were hiring the house, in short, we were owing the landlord 2 months

Dor:Brother you’re back on time

Me:Not at all, mum forgot to give you money for school that is why I hurried back home to give you. You Know I always want the best for you
