I followed ama-eze instead of normal road.i was still walking like zombie when i saw one narrow road which i followed and burst out at ama-eze

village square,..i stopped because i will soon reach where bush day,
(did i said bush na forest and you
rare see people pass that road by this time of the night )

, i stole a glance on my watch and found out it
was 8:10pm,

i was like.””what would i do because
i don’t think only me can pass that scaring place but another thought says,””are you not a man?

I gather the whole courage and started trekking again.

I focused on my front as i was trekking till I reach at the middle
of the bush,i overheard some foot step following
me but when i look back i will not see any body
then i thought maybe it’s my imagination as I continue,not less than 15seconds i heard it again and this time i didn’t wait for any body to tell me before
I pullout my palm and
Carried it ,i was about to speed off when a voice echoed from my back which says ”
if you run i shut you””
fear gripped my heart
as i look back and saw them three in black colour, my
heart skipped cos i know that this will be the
end of my existence though they are 5metres away
from me,which made me think twice whether to
run or be a good boy atlist if they shot gun i can
run zig-zag because of straight bullet but i later
banished the thought when i saw two guy coming
from my front which made me dive into the bush and
vanish at the same time.

guy 1: stone catch him!!

Guy 2:uwakwe!!!

Guy 3:sir

Guy 2:follow the other way,if you see am you fire him.

Guy 3: yes! Boss

By this time i stop running and hide my self on
back of one tree

Guy 1:this is where he is,uwakwe come this side!(pointing at my direction)

I wanted to run but what i heard from my back
was gbuaaa!!! I pass out.

| saw my self running at a bush path,i wanted to
stop but my leg keep on carrying me where i
don’t know..,i keep on running for more than 2hrs
till i saw one old man with gray hair and bears all
over his body but unfortunately he stopped me.


Old man. Young man go back.

me.where am i?

old man. You are dead but your mission has not yet completed.

Me.what are you talking about?

The old man now bring a black clothe and hang it on a
tree and raise his hands up and said some little incantation ,a white substance
appeared from his hand and he blew it on the
clothes and stated”

old man. Watch!!

I saw my self(self kee na my dead body been
dragged by 5 boys, which made me remembered

what earlier happened between me and those
guys that was chasing me. They dropped me by the road side and dump me their.a cold shiver ran through my spine as
I saw as the fourth guy was asking them why
they shot me but they told him that the order
came from the boss before the old man says
something and what i was watching disappeared
leaving the black cloth behind,

old man, you have to start going before is to
late,your people is looking for you,your mother is
crying because of you sooooooooo!! gooooooooooo!!!!!
noooooow!!!!!!

I wanted to check my time but i didn’t see my watch then i deep hand inside my pocket to bring out my phone but it was no were to be found.. that was when it occurred to me that my village witches has succeeded.

I start running back till i reach one dark spot and
reluctantly heat my head on a tree and start
rolling on the ground till i pass out again.
I sluggishly open my eyes slowly,slowly till i saw two leg by my side,

i was busy tracing the leg up in other to know who owns it ,i saw a white garment beneath her tommy but i continue tracing it up to know who owns the garment, in not less than a seconds my
eye caught a figure. i fixed my eye ball to her
eyes for 10scns which made me cough.
He is awake said by the nurse.

nurse 2: go and call the doctor
(who is awake i asked my self)
i look at my both side and saw my mother,my
sister Susan and my brother ifeanyi then i asked”

me. Where am i?

Mum. In the
hospital

me.which hospital?

Mum. D. d. l
immediately the doctor came in and said”

doc. Mama leave him so that he will regain his
strength back,allow him to rest.

Mother. Sorry.

Doc. Rest back let me examine you.

Me.ok .

I heard as my mum was telling my brother


ifeanyi to call
my dad and tell him that chinwendu is awake.
I was busy listen to the conversation as my brother was making
the call..

ifeanyi. Yes just now, he can’t answer call now,
tomorrow, i don’t know ooh, we will be expecting
you.bye
mother.what did he said?

Ifeanyi. He said that he will be coming back tomorrow.

mum. Ok
i was hearing every thing they where discussing until when the doctor came and inject me then i slept off.
I woke up in 3hrs time and saw only my sister sitting by
my side and i asked”

Susan. Where is my mum?(like say na only me get am)

Susan. Brother! (calling me with respect) he went
home with ifeanyi to prepare food.

Me. So where is my phone?
and who brought me here?
