The Darkest Hour - Season 2 - Episode 6

That was one of the unique
characters people knew him for. “Why are you even here. That reminds me” he glared at Sandra. “Did you threaten Udoka?”
“I don’t want to talk about it” Sandra kept her bag on the bed and sat beside him.
“Don’t try it again” David warned.
“Will that make you happy? Alright, i’m sorry. I was only jealous. You know i can’t stand to see her with you. I’m sorry” Sandra’s voice was as meek as a
dove all in the name of David’s love. “Have you eaten? Let me prepare something” she stood up and walked towards the kitchen but suddenly turned. “Who is in the bathroom?” she asked but David kept quiet. Just then, the
running water stopped. The quietness of David gave Sandra a suspicious impression. As she wanted to repeat her question, the bathroom door opened. Lo and behold Udoka in a towel tied across her chest. She also stopped at the bathroom door staring at Sandra. What next?
Sandra couldn’t believe it, she glanced at both the naked bed and Udoka again then had the idea of what might have happened.
“She was the one inside the bathroom” David replied the question by breaking the silence.

“You bitch!” Sandra shrieked. She
wanted to get to Udoka for a slap but David blocked her.

“Don’t touch her!”
“Leave me alone!” Sandra struggled. After she couldn’t overcome David, she became weak and began to shed tears. “What have i done to you for treating me like this. What does she have that i don’t have?! Money, i guess. No problem. As for
you” she glared at Udoka who had already left the door to David’s back feeling embarrassed. “I will make sure i deal with you in this school!” she forcefully disengaged from David, picked
her bag and slammed the door after using it.
“I’m sorry” David turned to Udoka but she ignored him, put on her cloth quietly, picked her car key and headed to the door.
“Udoka wait!” David rushed her.
“I don’t wonna see you again for
peace..”
“Stop it!” David interrupted her.
“Don’t shout at me!” Udoka raised her voice. “Can’t you see the hand writing on the wall! I don’t want to involve myself in any trouble, so is better we depart!” Udoka clutched the door knob and wanted to walk away but David’s voice interrupted her. Though she stopped but never looked back.
“I stood for you! I defended you! I
fought for you and did everything
within my power to have you. Why? Because i love you even when you were nobody. If you can’t stand for me at this time or if u walk out on me now, then i will know you never loved me” David
concluded waiting to see her reaction.
Udoka stood still without leaving or turning back but she finally closed the door and left. She hurried into her car, put the key in the ignition but couldn’t start it. She la!d back on the driver seat
and began to shed tears.

On the other hand, David sluggishly collapsed on the bed winking his eyes to prevent the tears that engulfed in them
from drooping but they finally dropped.

**

At the resident of the twins, the gate- man never hesitated to open the gate when Udoka returned. She sped in, came out and walked into the sittingroom. The other three girls were in the parlour, all in bumshort when she
flung the car key on the centre table and walked into her room without even an ‘Hello’ to the girls. Therefore, all became dumb. They were even surprise when
they came back without seeing her car coz there were two cars; one for Monica while the other for Udoka. But they mostly prefer going out with one.
The girls looked at one another, but only Monica flung her butt into the room to know what the problem was. She sat beside Udoka on the bed who la!d face-down.
“Udoka, what happened?”
“I want to be a lone, please” Udoka replied.
“Talk to me nah”
“I said leave me alone! Are u deaf!” Udoka shouted thereby startling Monica.
Udoka’s voice didn’t only startle Monica but the other two girls in the sittingroom too due to the gravity of the echo. For the past few years, Monica had never seen her sister shouted at her in such a way. Therefore she gently stood up and left the room angrily.
