Alex went home and met Miriam already worried, “have you seen my husband today? She asked and Alex sat down tiredly after kissing his son. ” what’s the problem? Gloria asked. “Nelson is fine,
though he ask you should spend the night here but I don’t think it’s safe. Nelson needs you right now, Alex said. ” is my husband ok? Please tell me, Miriam said in a shaky tone. “He is not, keep
the boy here I’ll drop you home, Alex said getting up while Miriam went in to bring her few properties.

Alex dropped her and told her to take care of him, ” are you not coming inside? She
asked him but he shook his head. “Yuu are making me scared, what exactly is wrong? Miriam insisted. ” just go in and please don’t ask him questions, I beg you, Alex said and Miriam looked at
him for some seconds and went out of the car while Alex reversed and left.

Miriam rushed in to see the couch scattered and Nelson on the floor fast asleep. “Jesus, what happened! Miriam shouted and ran to him. ” honey! She shook him and made him weighed on the couch while she ran in to bring water and a hand towel.

Nelson was so weak as he sat helplessly while Miriam kept cleaning his body in tears. “Let’s go to the room please, Miriam said and they staggered to the room. The night was a busy one for Miriam as she stayed back to Arrange the sitting room Nelson scattered in anger, she came across the note and read it though she didn’t
understand what it meant.

The day was a busy one for Desmond as he rushed in to meet Emerald but they jammed
themselves at the door, ” ouch! Emerald said rubbing her forehead. “I’m so so sorry, I was rushing to see you. I’m so sorry for leaving you alone through out the day, please I was so busy and I realised I didn’t have your number so I can call, Desmond rushed everything at once not giving
himself break. ” it’s OK, Emerald stop him, I’m fine, come in first, she said leading him in. “So did you miss me? Desmond asked while she smiled. ” ok I understand, I’m so hungry, he said removing his shirts.

“You can eat my food, I didn’t touch it, Emerald said. ” what! Yuu mean the
whole day you stayed hungry why? He asked in shock. “I was not hungry, Emerald said. ” are you sure you’re OK? Let me take yuu to the hospital, Desmond said and she burst out laughing. “Don’t
worry about it I’m fine, so Goan eat your food, Emerald said and her eyes changed colour charming Desmond. ” ok yeah, my food, Desmond laughed and went to the refrigerator while Emerald smiled to herself, “that’s better mbok, I don’t have that strength to talk, she said watching
the television.

The next day Nelson woke up and went to the sitting room to see the place already tidied up, he cleaned his eyes and looked again, ” I can remember throwing things around here yesterday, he said and heard noises coming out from the kitchen. He went there to see Miriam already cooking,
he was so surprised to see her, “you came? He whispered and she turned to him. ” you’re awake?

Thank God! Yuu made me so scared yesterday, Miriam said to him. Nelson looked at her closely,

“what’s wrong? He asked but she only smiled, ” the food will be soon be ready, go and brush your mouth, she said leading him out of the kitchen. As she was about to return back to the kitchen she felt dizzy, she held the wall weakly and Nelson turned his back and saw how she stood breathing heavily. “What’s wrong love? He asked. ” I don’t, I don’t… Honey look… blood, she shouted pointing to her legs. “Jesus! Nelson shouted and ran to get his keys and he rushed her to the hospital at once. His parents kept calling him but he ignored the calls and rather told Alex what has happened. Alex and Gloria rushed down to the hospital leaving the kids to their house help.

” what happened? Gloria asked Nelson. ” I can’t tell, I only woke up to see her this morning cooking. I saw weakness written on her face and asked her what the problem is but she told me she is fine and asked me to brush my mouth that the food is almost ready. I left and turned back to see her holding the wall and.. And then I saw blood, Nelson explained everything with a shaky
voice. “Oh no! Gloria said worried. ” it’s all my fault, I just hope nothing happens to my child,

Nelson said while Alex patted his back. Soon the doctor came out and they all asked about her.

“She’s fine, just that she stressed herself alot. But don’t worry, the baby is fine, the doctor said and everyone was relieved.
