She Dies - Season 1 - Episode 65

“That was how the Inspector General got
involved.” Anabel said, looking tearfully at
Stella, “Your mother is such sensitive and
calculative that she can easily tell your next
move.” She inhaled slowly and then exhaled,
“When she figures Lucia didn’t succeed, she’ll find out I saved you and she’ll predict I broke a confidence. She’ll also conclude that the only person you’ll trust at the moment is the IG.

She knows you’ll do that because the IG
was your father’s best friend and is like a
father to you. She’ll figure you’ll confide to
him.” She paused and continued, “I guess her next option will be to manipulate the IG. It’s time she might try use that particular day against the IG.” She felt Stella’s gaze into her eyes piercing her conscience and she started looking at the floor, her eyes blinking steadily,

“Your mum is someone I know pretty well. She can do anything for her secrets. Your
remaining alive is already a threat to the
senator and to your mum, and she can’t
withstand the wrath of the senator if she
allows you to jeopardize the secret they have
kept all these years.” She managed to raise
her stare to the crying Stella and observed she
was totally unconvinced. She didn’t blame
her. How could she trust the woman who
connived with her mum to make her life not
worth living any longer? She spoke on, “What I suggest we do right now is that we_”

Stella interrupted, “Please can I’ve a glass of water?”

Anabel nodded and stood, “Why not. I’ll get
that immediately.” She moved to the dining
room. When Stella heard her open the fridge,
she dropped the scatter cushion on the seat,
quickly bent to the table, picked up Anabel’s
car key and hurried out of the sitting room.

Anabel closed the fridge, turned to go back to
the sitting room and heard the sound of the
car engine burning outside. She hastened to
the window, pulled the drapes aside and
watched Stella with confusion as she sped her
Honda Accord out of her apartment. She gave
a dreary sigh and ran to the sitting room.
