She Dies - Season 1 - Episode 41

Stella brought her thoughts back to the room
and to the seat she was wickedly tied to and
the sellotape over her mouth, and realized she
was still in danger. Scalding tears poured
down her cheeks and suddenly, her body
began to shake. She thought of her late dad.

Her mum had collaborated with someone and
had killed the man that loved her. She didn’t
only kill the man that loved her but had
almost killed her daughter that so much loved
her just because she found out the evil she
had committed, and now, she had also sent an
assassin after her. More tears poured down
her cheeks. The entire incident was a great
puzzle to her. She still remembered the cloth
her mum wore as she pointed the gun
murderously at her, her finger firm on the
trigger. It was the pink blouse she had bought
with her four days before her dad was
assassinated, the day her dad had returned
from a two days summit in Addis Ababa,
Ethiopia. They had gone to the supermarket
together around 11:00AM and she had
personally made that choice for her mum. Her
mum had held up the dress and liked it. She
had hugged her daughter and said, “I’ll put
this on as soon as we get home and shall
await your dad’s home coming in it. I know he will like it. Do you know why?” She had looked smilingly at her daughter and continued,

“Because the choice was made by her beloved daughter.” She held Stella’s palms in hers, watched her smile and said, “Let’s get a similar one for you, your dad will like it that way.” They bought another blouse and few other items and left the supermarket.

Stella remembered the love that existed
between her parents and couldn’t link why her mum had to kill her dad. She was convinced that it was her mum that sent the man who kidnapped her. How would her mum live happily without her husband and her only child? She wondered. Her dad was always fond of her mum and always sought for her advice before he did anything. Why is mum doing this? She thought, then, she wiped her tears and freely let her thoughts drift back to the day her dad had announced he was contesting for the presidency.
