“Do you mind explaining this Mr
Jefferson.”The Principal queried.
Tony was shocked beyond
words as the money was
discovered in his office he just
stood there with his head hung
down in shame,unable to utter a
single word.

“Answer me.”The Principal yelled.
“Sir what explanation does he
have to give the truth is right
infront of us,it’s like my father
used to say everyman no matter
how pure or selfless has an evil
side to him he just needs the
right situation to trigger his evil
side.Mr Jefferson the so called
Doveman has proven to each and
everyone of us that he’s a dupe
he’s a Dupeman.”Paul was
ranting in a mocking tone.
“Shut up Paul.”Zach countered.
“Don’t you dare tell me to shut up
both of you are probably in this
together.Birds of a Feather.”Paul
said in disgust.
“I am highly disappointed in you
Mr Jefferson is this how you
repay our trust in you?.”The
Principal said he couldn’t believe
Tony was capable of doing such
a thing.He walked away in anger
to the management conference
hall where a meeting was to be
held to decide Tony’s fate.

The Vice-Principal followed him
and so did Paul(who had no
business attending such a
meeting).The staffs started
dispersing shaking their head in
pity for Tony,who just stood
there in shock as tears were
been formed in his eyes his legs
were suddenly too weak to carry
his weight and they gave way as
he fell and sat on the ground.

Zach walked up to him and
joined him on the floor.”Listen
buddy everything is gonna be
okay we will get through this.”
“This is all my fault i told you to
let that guy go and now am
suffering the consequences,I’m
so stupid.”Tony said.
“Can’t say i didn’t warn you
dude,forgiveness has really cost
you.”Zach said.

“I’m so stupid.”Tony kept on
saying.

“Listen dude you are not stupid
infact you are one of the
smartest men I know and trust
me i know a lot of men and
anyone who thinks you are
stupid because of what you did
has it all wrong.”Zach said.
“Then what’s wrong with me if
it’s not foolishness then what is
it?”Tony asked.
“Tony listen to me you are not
stupid nor are you an idiot the
thing is you’ve a good and kind
heart,you couldn’t bare to see
that guy in pain even though he
tried to hurt you and trust me
having a good heart is a good
thing i wish i had one myself but
you’ve gat to know that in this
life not everybody deserve to be
forgiven.”Zach said.
“That’s not true.”Tony added.
“Trust me it’s the truth some
people don’t deserve to be
pitied.”

“No i mean the part where you
said you don’t have a good heart
trust me Zach you do.”Tony said.
“{Laughs}What makes you think
so?”Zach asked.

“Well for starters here you are
consoling me and trying to make
me feel better and you are
always there for me,your
wife,your son.Thank you for
being such a great person and
such a good friend.”Tony replied.
“Well let’s just say i have my
days.”Zach said as both friends
smiled at each other.

“So what now?”Tony asked as he
stood up preparing for the
worst.

“I don’t know dude but whatever
happens i’m here with you.”Zach
said as he stood up as well.
Then Mrs Kennedy started
approaching them.

.
“Hello.”She greeted.
“Hello.”Both Tony and Zach
replied.

“Mr Jefferson i just want you to
know that i strongly believe that
someone is trying to frame you
here i know for a fact that you of
all people won’t do a thing like
this.”She said.

“Thank you very much.”Tony said.
“Where are you off to.”Zach
asked.

“The Principal called they are
planning on nominating another
staff for the position of the VP’S
Personal Assistant apparently
Paul raised the motion.”She said.
“Ofcourse he did.”Zach said.
“Everything is happening so
fast.”Tony said.

“What do you plan on doing Mrs
Kennedy.”Zach asked.
“Since i already know that Mr
Jefferson here is innocent i will
not agree to taking his
position,that will be very
wrong.”Mrs Kennedy said.

“No please don’t reject the offer
cause if you do then Paul will win
easily this school needs someone
like you not him so please.”Tony
pleaded.

“But this is injustice.”
“I know but just do it cause it’s
the right thing.”Tony said.
“Ok Mr Jefferson.”She said and
walked away feeling truly sorry
for Tony.

‘It’s over.’Tony thought to
himself.

Little did he know that the worst
was yet to come.

(10 minutes later)
Tony and Zach were seated in
Tony’s office,Tony was about to
go take his class when.The
secretary rushed in.

“Mr J..J….Jefferson.”She was out of
breath.
“What’s wrong.”Tony asked.
“I,they,you…..you see the.”She
was too much in a hurry and
was speaking gibberish.
“Listen take it easy,one after the
other.”Tony said.

“Speak woman!”Zach yelled.
“Well the thing is i overheard
them saying,i mean at the
meeting which i was the entire
management is there and the
people that were nominated for
your position are busy
campaigning they were still
discussing which punishments
will be suitable for
you,when.”She stopped to catch
her breath.

“Please continue.”Tony said.
“Get to the point.”Zach added.
“Well the money in the briefcase
was incomplete the principal has
asked some guards to fetch you
but i beat them here,they are on
their way and i think the
management might be planning
to call the cops you have to run
Mr Jefferson and i mean right
now.”She concluded.

“Oh my god this can’t be
happening.”Tony said.
“No one is going to arrest you
Tony i will beat the living daylight
out of whoever tries to.”Zach
said.

“What now?”Tony asked.
“We run.”Zach said.
