“Youngman, what are you doing at my gate” Sandra’s father lower his car rear view to see the youngman who he met standing at his gate. He has just returned from work.
“Good evening, sir” Bright greeted the man who was looking murderously at him, he was scared at first but he had to compose himself not to give the soldier man any chance to harass or intimidate him.
“I didn’t demand for greetings, I asked a question.” he re-instated impatiently, stepping down from his car. He was determined to shield his only daughter from youthful lust or any man who would want to ruin her career.

“I am in search of Michael Ijele to take my book from him, I misplaced the house number” Bright explained calmly after noting the familiarity between Michael’s house number and that of Sandra’s. They have the same digits but different position 43 and 34.

“Not here, that building there” Mr. Odu directed him, Bright half run and half walk home thanking his Creator immensely for helping him out. He had braced himself to appear in the hospital or mortuary.

“One of us here is going to represent South-South region in the upcoming Presidential quiz” the Principal announced to the students with mixed intonation, the students go crazy at the too good to be true news.

“All thanks to Michael, the one for Aso-Rock” the man teases, as he welcomes him to the podium. Michael emerged as the winner in the State and also the winner after the 5 other South-South States have competed together.

“We are really proud of you son, and we wish you well” The principal gave Michael a handshake while the students whistle and go crazy with excitement, tears drop from Michael’s eyes as he witness the showcase of love.

“Who paid your WAEC fee?” Jackson demanded from Michael holding a whip, he has decided not to pay his WAEC fee till next year because he wants him to fail.
“Uncle, I am not aware.” Michael said shaken by the sight of the cane, the Principal is the one who did when he keep on complaining that his uncle cannot pay the fee. On his own the principal decided to help him out without his knowledge.

“Is it your sugar-mummy? Ohh… no wonder she is taking you to Abuja to enjoy” Felicia chipped in mockingly; she won’t allow him to go and make a name for himself in Abuja. She wondered why her Mother’s charm didn’t work, she isn’t aware that Michael has dumped the food where she won’t discover it on Zadira’s command.

“You want to grow wings and get spoilt” Jackson stood up from his seat descended on poor Michael with the whip, after he has locked everywhere making sure there is no way out for him to escape the punishment.

“Where is this boy?” Peter the Biology Teacher asked looking impatient with the Principal standing beside him; they have waited for Michael for the past one hour in the school compound. The car that will convey them to Airport for the trip to Abuja has arrived 30minutes ago.

“Where have you been?” the principal asked on seeing Michael, he only greeted both of them ignoring the question and walk into the car.

Daniel the principal look surprised also do Peter. The angry look on Michael’s face said it all. It was obvious from his facial expression that all was not well with him.
