Nothing eventful happend that day.just that i became friend with one of the chief drivers at the palace. (the guy can talk eeh.)he told me every thing about the palace.he told me that the king has a son.who is presently in U.K..i asked him about Adaeze whether she has a partner.

Driver..yes.there was one rich guy that always came to looked for her.i heard that the guy is senator’s son.they always go out together.
But Adaeze didn’t tell me that she have a partner.

Me..erm.john(john is the driver’s name)are you sure?*i started praying in my mine let it not be true*.
John..am very sure.i even heard that they will soon get married.(heeh!am doomed.all my plains has failed.chai Adaeze why now.i said to myself.
John..weting happen now.why you dey sweat like this nah.

Me..nothing.am just feeling some how inside my body.escuse me.let me go and take some drugs.

John..ok na.later we go see.
I left to my room and fell flat on my bed.i became heart broken.chail Adaeze why na.why me.ooh! she will soon get married.she was the reason why i came here at the first place.let me not conclude yet.i will find a way and asked her whether is true or not.

5.30pm the same day.the king came back from his journey to Arewa.i wanted to asked him how the king and his wife.which is my dad and mom doing.but i decline it.because i don’t want to raise any suspiction.30 minutes later.Adaeze came back from work.*my heart started beaten faster* she didn’t came to my room.rather she went straight to her chamber.i waited for more than one hour.still i didn’t see any sign of Adaeze.i decided to go in and greet the king.i went in as usuall bowed and greet the king and his wife the lolo.
The king..how are you doing my son.hope you are recovering well?

Me..yes my king.thank you.

Lolo..so dear.i hope you have eaten today?.
Me..yes my lolo.thank you.(you are welcome.they both chorused).

Me..my king.i came to greet you this morning.but the guards told me that you went out.
The king..yes my dear.i went to Arewa kingdom.the king of Arewa lost his son.erm.prince jerry..so all the kings in the state.went to pay tribute to his dead son.but the most painful one.was nobody has seen the body of the prince.but the police is still investigating.(GOD forbid.am not dead.).

Me..hmm.is a pity.there only son for that matter.

Lolo..i wonder oo.i heard that prince jerry’s mother.the Queen of Arewa.is in a critical condition.she is having a heart-attacke.when she got the news that her son was dead..i pity the her o.let them take heart.what has happend has happend.i pray may his soul R.i.p.
Me..*God forbid.na your own soul will R.i.p.*) i have to go now my king.. They bade me good night and i left.

I was in my room thinking about my life.how will i go home now.and how will my parent feel.when they see me that am not dead.am sure they will be over happy to see there only son back.i looked up and saw Adaeze standing in front of me.

Me..aah.Adaeze.when did you came in.and how long have you been standing here.

ADAEZE..i have been standing here more than two minutes.you were busy with your thought.beside what are you thinking?.

Me..nothing much.just that i was just thinking of you.your beautiful face.(i said in a play tone.)

ADAEZE..hmm.why are you thinking of me.hope no problem.(she asked with a smile.
Me..noo.no problem at all.erm tell me do you have a fiance.or are you in a serious relationship.

ADAEZE..hope you are not jeaulous.(why won’t i be jeaulous.eer.tell me.).
Me..come on.why will i be jeaulous na.i just want to know.(i said pretending).

ADAEZE..yea.i have a fiance.(immediately i heard those words from her. i feel like criying.tears nearly drope from my eyes.chai!am a loser.

Me..(mouth shaking).well well.yo you are lucky.do do you love him.*tears started droping gradually but due to the little dark in the room.she was unable to see the tears*
ADAEZE..yea.very lucky.and i love him very much.(she said very excited).

Me..well good for you.erm am feeling sleepy Ada.maybe tomorrow we will talk.(i said that to discharge her.because i was no longer interesting with her boring gist any more.)she bade me good night and left.

God why is it that true love dosen’t want to come in my way.i dated pearl when i was in cannada.i love her so much.but we broke up.due to she refused to come home with me for the wedding and the traditional marriege.and now i finally fell inlove with Adaeze.she now have a fiance.God why me.more tears droped from my eyes.i didn’t even know when sleep came and took me away to the wonder land.

I woke up in the morning.feeling headache. pains and hungry.i lazily stood up and brushed my teeth.i made myself a corn flake.after eaten i took some of the drugs they gave me at the hospital.some minutes later.i tried calling Chidimma with the phone Adaeze bought for me some days back. But i coudn’t see the paper that she wrote her number to me.then decided to go and pay her a suprise visit at the hospital she is working.she will be happy to see me.
