She wouldn’t let me Do anything rather than sit and watch, I guess she thought my head was still hurting. You all can call it a Miracle but ever since I received that massage from Sharon I never felt the headache anymore. I just played games with her phone till Eunice joined us in the shop. She eased my mum off and took over the sales. Mum was going to choir practice in our church, she asked me to come with her but I declined before she left.

“Are you still mad at me?”. Eunice asked once she was free.

” I’m not mad at you”. I replied looking somewhere else.

” you’re not or you’re no longer mad at me. Which one?”. She asked again and I stared at her.

“Whichever”. I replied then she nodded.
” So, care to tell me about it? “. She asked and I scoffed.

“There’s nothing to tell, I just asked and she said yes that’s all”. I said and she smiled.
“How did it feel?”. Her smile was broad.
” you don’t expect me to answer that”. I said and she laughed then cuddled me into her arms.
“Of course I don’t, my dear”.

We both became quiet watching the people passing to and fro.

“You know I haven’t really figured it out”. I broke the silence.

” What? “. She asked.
” Relationship stuff”. I said and she smiled.
“Don’t worry, with time you will and mind you am still here”. She assured me.

That was exactly what I needed to hear, and I felt much more relief.

” of course you are”. I said and we both laughed then, knuckled our fists as we always do whenever we struck a deal. Through the rest hours we spent at the Shop we gossiped and made jest of almost every boy or girl that crossed our face, that’s our usual routine any day we were both in shop together except if we were too busy with customers. I was so glad to have made up with my sister so quickly, she was the my best counselor amongst my siblings and now is the moment I really needed her counsellings.

Before I slept that day I thought about how I’d make it up to Sharon as I had promised.
I woke up that Friday morning with smiles lit all over, not just my face but but, my heart too. My joy had come in the morning just like in the “women of Faith’s” song. it was of course unusual because I’d hardly wake up in the morning without being dragged out of bed, sleeping for extra minutes, burying my head under the pillow to grumble about how fast the time moves at night and how slow it goes during the day. In summary my early mornings hardly comes with a happy start so it was unusual but, didn’t feel strange because I knew the source of this weird joy I was feeling.

Bingo!! your had the right Guess, My new girlfriend was the secret behind this joy of mine. It was a new dawn in my life, a dawn of doing something I so much s----d at; caring for someone. I knew it was going to be hard but, I was going to try make it worth it. After all, it wasn’t as if I was being forced for this girl but, I chosed to care because I was quite sure I was in love with her. Even though to be sincere I was desperate then to have a girlfriend because I envied others most Especially my cousin’s relationship( of course no one else knew about this, so count yourself lucky to have known), but as young as I was then Sharon had succeeded in stealing a huge part of my heart.
