I got home that day in such a sad mood that I didn’t remember to greet our neighbours outside, they were calling me to start there normal query but I just ignored them and went into our apartment. I had no assignment that day so, I just ate my food which had already been set for me on the dining then went into my parent’s bedroom to have my siesta. There bed was my favorite and whenever I needed to sleep, there’s non better than theirs. I la!d there till my sister came in to scold me for littering the whole room with my school uniform.
”Nwachukwu will you get up and come pack your uniform!!”. She ordered. I did exactly as she said without mincing words then came and la!d back down. Whenever I did what I was asked without hesitation it’s either I needed something or something was bothering me, my mum knew this and so did my sister. She was watching me all through and when I la!d back on the bed, she came and sat close to me
and started calling me my pet names.
”Nwachuks, NwaGod,Nwamummy”. She teased and I smiled.
“What’s wrong? You look sad”. She asked after all the teasing. I faked a smile and told her nothing was wrong. I really wanted to tell her, after all she was my confidante but I wasn’t ready for her ” Too young to love ” sermon, so I decided not to. I knew she wouldn’t believe me but I was bent on not telling her.
“Yes, nothing was wrong in the morning when you decided to run early to school beaming with smile, but to come back looking this dull? Tell me who really pissed you off in school”. She asked staring at me Intensely, but I looked the other way. This time I didn’t say anything because, more words from me and I’d find myself telling her everything, I don’t even know trick she always used but not this time.
” you I know I can always hear from Kelvin “. She said when I didn’t answer her and I smiled inwardly. My cousin sure won’t tell her nothing but some nicely cooked up stories so, he wasn’t a threat. She left when she couldn’t get anything Nwamummy”. She teased and I smiled.

She stood there watching as I dragged my self off bed, I bet she’d interrogated Kelvin and from the look on her face she got nothing. I went into our bathroom and freshened up then joined Kelvin in the sitting room. We had our normal gang greeting then he asked me to kit up let’s go somewhere, I wore my Man utd Jersey and a jean trouser with my palms and we left. on the road we got talking.




He told me how furious Bully was because he let me walk just like that and how the others were questioning his decision too but he told them he would caution me and they all calmed down except Bully. He warned me to thread my part around Bully because he was sorting for revenge. of course poor dude got a cut on his lip so he sure will seek revenge. He asked me why I was angry yesterday.
“I know it’s because of Sharon so, what’s new?”. he asked. I told him it was about Sharon and I didn’t want to talk about it so he let me be. I slept that night and all my dreams were about Sharon and her lovely smile.
