We kept chatting through writing like she called it,and i kept knowing more aabout her while i told her just little about me. We joked about many things, we were on this till break was over yet, we didnt stop. Even during classes, the teacher would be teaching and she and i will be busy writing and smiling. Unfortunately i was caught by our Agric teacher, she asked me to stand up.
”what’s funny?” she asked and i shaked my head. ”what?” she aasked again
”nothing ma’am”. I answered still smiling.
You know that feeling when you expect things to get worse rather they were getting better? Thats the kind of happiness i felt.
”okay then, what did i say last?”. The Agric teacher asked me. I just stood there staring at the board like i would get a clue of what she was saying there but the board was Empty and the Truth is i didnt even know when she started. I was left standing and for the first time in my life, i didnt feel embarassed that i was kept standing at all, i was smiling all through as sharon kept pinching my leg, had the teacher asked me another question i’d still have no clue because i still wasnt paying attention.

After the Agric class it was school over but, unlike before i still sat there with sharon exchanging sheets and laughing, when my gang were ready to go they were surprised to meet me not yet ready. And when Melody came to know why i wasn’t ready yet , he met me transfering a sheet to sharon who was looking somewhere else, he snatched the sheet from my hand ran to the front , climbed a desk and read out what i wrote loudly.
”hey ma’am, your mum said i should look out for you so, its school over. Shall we?” he read out loudly and the whole class screamed. ”yey!!!”

i felt embarassed and i angrily packed my books into my bag and zoomed home. I wasn’t happy at all with what melody did because i didnt want the whole class to start thinking i was dating Sharon. After that fallout with Smith and then this? They’d probably be seeing us an item now, it wouldnt be bad if we were but,we were not. And it will feel much more bad if she ends up dating someone else. I decided to let her be for the moment to avoid being the talk of the whole class and probably the whole school, like they say rumors travel.

The next day when i got to school i kept to myself, she tried getting my Attention but when she couldn’t, she kept to herself too. One thing i love about sharon is that she understands. When it was break time i bought cake and ice cream and went to my dear Merry-go-round, sat there with primary school pupils that were busy having their fun. Few minutes later she came and sat next to me, she’s been searching for me.she cut a bit of my cake and ate then passed her pancakes for me to take some, i stared at her then looked away in another direction.
”you’re not with your cousin and his gang”. She said and i didnt say anything, just acted like i was interested in what i was watching, she probably knew so she kept talking.
”i guess i was right,something is bothering you again”.she said
”am sorry i didn’t come with a sheet and pen so we could chat/write, but we’re not in the class so, you can talk to me”. She said and was waiting for me to respond.i saw smith coming out of the table tennis court, he saw me too, sitting with his dream girl i bet that was what he saw her as. What’d be going on his mind now i thought. When i didn’t respond she hit me playfully on my chest.
”hello?you there?”.she asked.
”you see that dude”,i said pointing at smith. ”smith?”she asked.
”right, Smith”i answered her.
”smith is what’s bothering you?”.she asked confusedly
”not just Smith but the whole of our class is what’s bothering me and do you know why?” she shrugged when i asked. I’ve already decided to tell her everything.
”you Sharon,”i said to her and she seemed surprised but couldn’t say anything.
”after that show off i did yesterday morning to smith and then what i wrote ‘to you which that dumbhead read out to everyones hearing……”
”what’s wrong with what you wrote?”she cut me short. She seemed not to understand what i was saying.
”come on sharon, they’d probably think we re having something” i said to her.
” by having something you mean like d-a-t-ing?” she said stressing the Dating
”of course” i responded immediately and she smiled.
