Alexander gasps, Jaime is confused, he clears his throat and then looks at Tinny-B, so does Alexander…but she wished she was near her so she can gag her with her bag.
”What?’ i am curious, i am sure Jaime wouldn’t mind i mean we don’t really know much about him and it would be great to know..stuff…about love..love is a good thing and when you find who you love it would be amazing… the person might be a stranger, someone who is in the hospital, or on the streets…or in church, or in another city or a one who took a bullet for y-”

Alexander flings the pillow ”Oww!” she groans from the pain to the tummy, the pillow hits Tinny-B square in the face as she drops to to the ground, Jaime reaches fro Alexander, worry creases his face
”Are you okay, does it hurt, should i call the doctor? You shouldn’t exert yourself ” he is staring into her eyes, he holds her hand and has his other hand covering hers as she touches her wounded tummy.
She shakes his head ”No, it’s fine…” She spares Tinny-B a look.
Tinny-B is smiling as she stood up , she pouts her mouth, rolls her body, and then have her both arms hugging her a she gestures movements as though two people were kissing…
Alexander’s eyes grows big, Jaime turns, Tinny-B quickly picks the pillow and is frowning at it.
Jaime c---s his head to the side ”Okay what’s going on with you two, really am i missing anything, and Tinny-B what’s with the questions?”
‘You aren’t, Tinny-B is being Tinny-B and she is leaving to go out..right?”
”I am?”
”Yes! Adam….Adam said he wanted to take you out for lunch?”
”Oh..Adam” Her face breaks out in a smile ”That sexy bodyguard
Jame raises an eyebrow ”Adam?” he stares at Alexander who shrugs ”Don’t s£duce my bodyguard” he joked
”I have no intention of that, he might do the seducing, who knows” she laughed picking her bag ”And i will see you two love birds..i mean..strangers or whatever later…take care of my munchim Jaime..what am i saying, you will” she came and places a kiss on her forehead and then taps Jaime’s shoulders. She was outthe door.
”I will” he says more to himself than her.
”Sorry about that”
”Don’t be. Are you okay?”
She grimaces in pain, she nods. He is staring at her

”What?’
”You made me a promise, and you broke it”
‘I did, when?”
”Right before the gun shot”
She stares at him blankly
” i told you, and i quote, ” “ Alexander, promise me you wouldn’t do anything as stupid as putting yourself in danger again.” Do you remember your reply?”
Remembering, she says nothing.
”You said ” Fine, i promise.. .right before you added Silly to it”
She looks away.
”Alexander…i hate when people promise and then they break it” His voice was firm, she didn’t like his tone, and for lack of what to say, she became defensive.
She flares up ”Look if you are here to sq££ze me for for trying to help because there was no way i was going to let anything happen to-”
He doesn’t let her finish, he leans in and then kisses her, shutting her up. She tensed, and then she pushes him away. Then she wished she hadn’t, he took her unawares.
”I am sorry..i just…i don’t want to fight . I didn’t come here to fight or query you Alexander” he says looking at her .. ”I..” he looks away, his chest felt suffocated, he rubs it mentally. ”Seeing you lying there, not breathing and the blood just…shook me you know. And all i kept thinking about is that you make it alive, so forgive me if i come off as annoying or mad..but when you make a promise, keep it. You can’t promise me to never put yourself in danger and then you go right ahead and take a bullet for me…why?”
”I don’t know” she whispers, she really didn’t know. She closes her eyes.
He is staring at her , he held her hands and then stares at her ”Look at me Alexander”
She does.


”I beg you, don’t you ever do that again..you probably would have given me a heart attack…bullets aren’t toys Alexander, you could have died”
”But i didn’t!”
”But you could have died damnit, what would have happened to your friend Tinny-B? ”
”She would cry and hate me and spit on my grave and then cry and say she loves me and hate me again. The circle goes on”
”What about your friends and all” he was beating around the push, his voice was still stern.
”I have no friends who would miss me aside Tinny-B…my boss Ricky would probably find a replacement and whoever would only remember a girl who used to be and that’s it”
”And your family, you think they deserve to be put in that state?”
She looks away ”I have Tinny-B. I have no other family. I am an orphan.” she says
He reaches for her face and then turns her to face him with a finger ”Then what about me? Did you take out time to think through this your thick skull of what happens to me? or what i would feel if anything much worse than this happened to you, did you? Or you were just thinking of yourself ”He was angry, but he didn’t get why he should be. The thought alone of her dying angered him and left him in different emotions he couldn’t understand.
”Lockswire…” she calls out, not understanding what he means.
”You don’t see it do you? You don’t see how annoying you make me, how mad, how frustrating it was even meeting you, You don’t see how you rile me up and get all up in my business without evening trying. You don’t see how you make me cuss and when you even have a way of just making me do what you want without realizing it. You do no see how you have messed up my entire perfect fxxking world just by your presence and you think taking a bullet for me and dying would do nothing to me?? Are you dumb or just stupid Alexander?”
She blinks ”You will not insult me” she blinks away whispering, her chest was burning, and it was not from pain..it was something else, entirely new to her.
He continuous, his voice thick with emotion, ”I will not let you walk into my life, i would not allow you come in and make me hate you and all those whatever emotions in-between and watch you leave like that, leave my life like that..i won’t allow you do that you hear me Alexander?..I won’t allow you go , not like that. So if i have to tie you to by back to ensure you never will put yourself in harm’s way again i would. You obviously like to break promises but i won’t let you do that again, you hear me?”
She blinks, she sniffs, ”I am sorry…”
”What?”

She blinks back tears ”I am sorry okay, i am sorry that i couldn’t stand there and see the hate in Jimmy’s eyes. I am sorry i couldnt just stand there and watch you throw your life away letting you take blame for the crime you didn’t commit for something that may not even have to do with you. I am sorry i wanted to ensure that for once, justice is done. I am sorry..that i could not turn away knowing that just maybe, just maybe you would be shot and dead and God knows what would have happened to your parents, your mother, your father and their state of mind. I am sorry okay, i am sorry, but i am not sorry i got infront of you and i took that bullet, that is what people would do for people they care about, i am sorry i am not sorry, because maybe, just maybe i would do it again if the time rewinds and the scene replays itself..i am not sorry for protecting you..i may not know why i did it, but fxxk Jaime, i think i would do it again!…” she breaths as the tears fall from her eyes
”Fxxk Alexander” he grabs her and pulls her to him,
”Oww” she exclaims,
”I am sorry” he pulls away and then stares at her, he is shaking his head, stilling his beating heart ”You are crazy, you are so so crazy” he repeats.
She laughs in her tears ”And you have sworn like a hundred times already today…” she cries, he wipes her tears staring at her, he shakes his head laughing
”The bible is the truth, bad company corrupts good manners . I would never swear and stuff like that before but you walked in and …i am going fxxk fxxk fxxk !!”
She laughs ”Blame the teacher” she wipes her eyes
He stares at her , he flicks a tear from her cheeks ”I am sorry, i didn’t mean to..i…God i was scared and worried and ….” he trails off. Shaking his head. What the hell was happening to him?. H reaches for her hand again ”I met you, i hated you…you were a pain in my arse. Still is”
”That makes two of us” she chuckles
He nods ”But i don’t anymore Alexander…i don’t hate you. If anything, i care about you, seeing that your tricked me and went to the heritage election, i saw you there and aside thinking of my family and running out the door to protect them by all means, i was thinking about your safety too…and then the gun shot, you on the floor and…..i don’t want to ever see you hurt Alexander…i don’t . So this is what is going to happen..when you get out of here, i am going to ensure that you have a better life. First thing i would do is to rip off that contract, then i would ensure you get a better job, you will get paid for the time you had to spend with me and then you can go far away and have a good life and stay away from this danger until all this is cleared up…”
She felt suddenly sad. Then she became angry again cutting him off ”I don’t want your money Lockswire, and i get being a call girl is a …degrading job but atleast it’s a job plus i do not have to depend on someone to take care of me or give me money like a hand me down”


”I won’t let you go back to that job Alexander” he states.
”Why?. You got the President seat, and maybe Mayor…your life is on track..plus you now know Jimmy who the hell and whatever he is- is someone you need to keep an eye on and then..what do you need me for anyways, you don’t! And besides i didn’t exactly do anything for you so you don’t have to pay me nothing and then you don’t have to whisk me away to some city like i am a piece of cloth or whatever, I am my own boss and you aren’t the boss of me” she jabs his chest.
”I won’t allow you go back to that job. It is..” he catches her finger.
”Demeaning? Well you high class pretty boy didn’t mind getting your clean fine daddy’s limo to come pick a call girl to play for handle or whatever” she flares up
”Damnit Alexander, one minute we are cool and the next we are like cat and dogs” he flings his hands up in the air.
”’Don’t try to control my life or tell me what to do” she jabs him again.
”I am not trying to. I just ..i want you to get a decent job, i want you away from danger, i want you to live your life…i cannot ..i cannot let anything happen to you okay. Twice you have been at the verge of death, because of me i cannot and won’t let a third happen. So being far away from this city would keep you save form the likes of Jimmy and that Kennedy guy until we settle all of that. Having a decent job would ensure you don’t have to….” he trails off
”You can say it!” she flares up ”Sleep with random men for money”
He stares at her and then grabs her ”I do not want another man touching you ..not in that way…i just suddenly do not want and can’t bare the thought of knowing you are out there, working your client and he is touching you and making love to you-”
”Sex, it is sex. ”
”Whatever!!! I don’t want another man to touch you, not that way again”
She blinks, trying to be sarcastic ”Why? You want to be the only one to touch me that way Lockswire?”
He lets her go ”You enjoy riling me up don’t you?”
”You didn’t answer the d--n question”
He stands up from the bed, backing her, ”I think..” he trails off turning to her ”I think you are an amazing woman Alexander, aside your annoying traits and your hot fiery temper. i think you deserve love and happiness and a decent life and forgive me if i want that for you”
”You don’t even know me Lockswire or what i want for me”
”Yet, i don’t know all i want to know about you yet or what you want for you..but it doesn’t mean i can’t want good things for you, it doesn’t mean i don’t care, don’t mean i want want the best for you and want your safety!”
”And you didn’t ask me what the hell i want, if i want to go far away or if i want to be here..and maybe keep annoying you” she blurts out. She bites her lips, his eyes follows the moment. A desire burns within him.
He stares at her , he runs a hand through his head. His emotions were all over the place, not making sense, her’s too. He could tell. Whatever was happening here, it didn’t make sense. But whatever he was feeling felt right, too right.
He goes to the bed, faces her ”Alexander Beckington, if you stay in town…”
”I am not going anywhere..okay, that’s it”
”Fine! But i can’t let you out of my sight”
”Someone has to cater to my needs, afteral it’s because of you i got shot” she sniffs.
He leans back, she smiles ”Well…”
He shakes his head ”You are crazy”
”Yeah, a crazy person you suddenly care about” she stares at him ”Who would have thought”
”You said you cared about me too” his voice is low, he liked how she said it even though she was mad.
”I lied”
He stare at her with a raised eyebrow…, ”Fine! i can work with that” he takes her hand ”You know, it would be great if we don’t fight all the time. It’s a kill joy”
She smiles loving the feel of his warm hands ”Being normal is boring…i think once i bark you stay on your toes, works for me” she bites her lips. He realized that the movement alone makes him want to run his tongue over her lips, be the one doing that.
He reaches out and then cleans her eyes..”Sorry i kissed you earlier. I probably took you unawares”
She says nothing
”But i am going to do it again”
”Is that a habit now?” a sly smile places at the corner of her lips
”It could be, it depends..would you push me away this time?”
She says nothing for a second, she c---s her head to the side ”Depends, would you be an a-----e?”
He thinks for a moment ”Define a-----e” he is leaning in with a smile to his lips.
”I still don’t fancy kisses” she breaths
He nods , inches away from her lips, ”That’s fine, practice makes perfect plus, you didn’t do bad the last time, if i didn’t know better, i would say you enjoyed your first class…”
She could feel his hot breath, her heart is pounding… ”Why do you want to kiss me again Jaime?” she whispers, she needed to know.
”Because it’s the only thing that makes sense right now and …i feel if i don’t i won’t be able to stop looking at your lips, especially you biting them, does that suffice?” he raises his eyes to stare at her
she says nothing, she bites her lips again
”Damnit!” he swears again
He closes the distance and then captures her lips kissing her. Forgetting what he he had come to the hospital to ask her. Forgetting about Kennedy and his insinuations of them being family.
They kissed for a much longer time this time. He ran his tongue over her lips, dipping them into her mouth as he urges her mouth open.
